Make it "ferocious, yet fair." These
were the instructions to course designer Tim Cate. When
the first 18 holes opened in March of '99, it quickly
became evident that he well exceeded that goal with a
layout that has golfers returning for more! Elevated
tees, generously sculpted fairways, and large bentgrass
greens create one of the most dramatic stages for golf
on the Grand Strand.
